We’re back in action!
Wednesday,April 30th,in Lignano Sabbiadoro/Pineta (Udine,Italy),via Garibaldi 46,Akiller Dee & Tanzoiser (a.k.a. Bidermayer) will set up a dj-set/dinner:everyone’s invited!
Starting from 8:00 p.m.
We decided to name this party “A French-Touch Rendez-Vu” because we’ll play most of all the french electro/house genre to be prepared to the atmosphere of Cassius who we’ll play later at Kursaal Club.
Be chill…we’ll have lots of fun!
Meet you there!
Many, many, many thanks to all my friends who took part at the event on August,Saturday 11th in Lignano Sabbiadoro - Pineta (UD):we celebrated my last house-compilation “In House we trust”.
The event was opened by my team-mate Tanzoiser and we did,in Bidermayer style,30 minutes of 80s and 90s revival.
In september, the website will “start again” with its weekly posts like “Artist of the week” and news, and its monthly Tracklists:besides you’ll find the photos of this party.
See you in September and happy holidays to everyone!
March 22nd 2007 - LCD Soundsystem live @ Rolling Stone,Milan
In collaboration with Tanzoiser
It was a great night at “Rolling Stone” in Milan:in his only Italian night, the dance-punkfunk artist James Murphy a.k.a. LCD Soundsystem played with his band. The act was opened by Janine Rostron alias PlanningToRock:she’s a whimsical artist who sings alone on the stage (without any musician) just with her playbacks and a microphone.Completly dressed in white she shows herself on stage with strange accessories like a plastic bone and some futuristic helmets making her look original as her music:deeply electronic but also ambient and psychedelic with some house-elements.Really original is her way to move her body on stage in a schizofrenic way.If you want to know better the English artist (she lives in Berlin actually),visit her website www.planningtorock.com and overall her Myspace www.myspace.com/planningtorock .
10:30 P.M.:it’s LCD Soundsystem’s turn! The delirium of the attendance is for the Newyorker artist and his band. The first song is “Us v Them”,track number 6 of the new album “Sound of silver” come out in these days:people was starting to “move” but with “Daft Punk is playing at my house”,first single of LCD and song of the videogame FIFA 2006 started a big but friendly pogo which divided the two authors of this article for a half of the exibition. Then it’s time for the new single which opened the second and last album “North American scum” followed by the new songs “All my friends”,”Get innocuous”,”Time to get away”,the “punky” “Watch the tapes” and also some songs of the previous album like the full emotional “Tribulations”,”Yeah” and the “headbanger” “Movement”(the authors of the article don’t like this track but live it was played definetly fine!).Final reprise with two other songs of the new album:”Someone great” and “New York I love you but you’re bringing me down” (last one of the concert and of the LP too). The only disapponited thing to highlight is that they didn’t play the great “Losing my edge” and “Disco Infiltrator”,last two singles of the first album.
James Murphy and his band are absolutely worthy to play an important role on the worldwide alternative music landscape and proud of their fans in these last two years between music expert (and not),much younger, younger and pretending-to-be-young people (like the attendance of their Italian exibition).

The Tracklist of March 2007
The new of the news, actually not yet ready,is the possibility to listen to the music inside the website:I hope to grant and to fulfil my and your wish as soon as possible.
Next week we’ll open the year 2007 with the “Artist of the Week”.
Meanwhile I announce you that I’m almost completing the electronic compilation “Simon the electro-Zealot”.
Have a good web-journey!

There are so many Hollywood actresses who tried, with or without success,to raise the music charts and the hit parades:Cher,Jennifer Lopez,Lindsay Lohan,Brittany Murphy,Paris Hilton (that’s right…she’s also an actress:we envy who had never watched “House of wax”!) etc.None of these decided to start a carreer as a rock-star:the only actress who is also a front-woman of a rock band is the singer of Juliette & The Licks:Juliette Lewis (leading roles in Natural Born Killers,From dusk till dawn,Strange Days).
Juliette starts to take confidence with the microphone reinterpreting famous songs included in the soundtracks of her movies:in Strange Days she sings “Rid of me” and in Natural Born Killers “Hardly wait” both originally singed by PJ Harvey.
Miss Lewis was looking for professional musicians to found a band:in 2003,came out the first work of Juliette & The Licks:it was an EP titled Like a bolt of lighting. In this album is possible to find their first hit “Got love to kill” and the cover of “Hardly wait”.
In 2004,Juliette and her rock-mates published their first full album:You’re speaking my language;it was a great success by its agressive but glamour punk rhythm:the two hits of the previous EP and the album-title song (You’re speaking my language) are absolutely brilliant.
Before the coming out of the second album Juliette took part in the Prodigy’s Always outnumbered, never outgunned singing in “Hot ride”.
The second work came out in the summer of 2006:Four on the floor. The drummer had left the band some months before so Dave Grohl,ex Nirvana and todays frontman of Foo Fighters, helped The Licks playing his old instrument like he did with Queen of The Stone Age:the album is definitely more elaborated made by smoother and more intense tracks:we underline the two singles (till today) “Hot kiss” and “Sticky Honey”.
Juliette & The Licks is an 80’s name for a band;they have skills:they play very gently, get the people involved;music-people and magazines talk and write about them eventhough they’re not innovative playing not an original kind of rock:a band that plays very good and an histrionic leader like Juliette Lewis are the secret ingredients of their success.
OUR Juliette & The Licks’ Playlist:Got love to kill; You’re speaking my language (from You’re speaking my language). Hot kiss;Sticky Honey;Purgatory Blues (from Four on the floor).

Twenty years ago Patrick Bodmer met Phillip Jung playing tennis in Saarbrucken (Germany, near the French border) and a close friendship was born also in their artistic way.At the age of 25,Patrick and Phillip started to play house music in Frankfurt at the Monza:they also started publishing their first works with an indipendent label (Lust).Meanwhile Phillip was travelling across the country for his own work and Patrick was leading an artistic life also studing.
In 2001,they became dj-residents at the Monza;in the same year, their old friends Arno and Walter a.k.a. Booka Shade (we’ll write about them soon) moved to Frankfurt:the four friends will constantly collaborate.
The first work of M.A.N.D.Y. is a remix of the French Galleon;M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade founded anew label:Get Physical. In 2002,they all moved to Berlin looking for a greater house-landscape.
Working together in the same label they shows their best:in 2004 M.A.N.D.Y. self-produced their first mixed compilation with many indo-electro young artists like The Knife,Fischerspooner,Hans Peter Lindstrom etc.
The M.A.N.D.Y.’s experience is a wonderful example of passion and devotion for house music and also an international success based on a close and deep friendship.
Halfway between the Club-House and the electronica full of rhythm (like Death in Vegas).
My M.A.N.D.Y.’s Tracklist: Aachat;Put Put Put;No Stoppin;Body Language - M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade. Remixes:Sparks (M.A.N.D.Y. Remix) - Royksopp;Prototype (M.A.N.D.Y. Remix) - Rex the Dog;Damage (M.A.N.D.Y. Remix) - Tiefschwarz

We are still updating the website:new stuff is coming out!
Next week everything will be in the right place.
We still apologize.
I’m not wrong:the artist of the week is Headcleanr (without “e”)
Actually is really difficult to find some news about Headcleanr:he can be a she or they;but I will consider him male and singular (like in dictionaries).
Headcleanr’s remixes are free from the original riffs and melodies:he always creates new rock songs (often he also reinterpretes them):to be clear, his remixes sound like covers;even if the vocals remain the original singer’s ones.
In Madonna’s EP “Remixed & Reinterpreted” we find two Headcleanr’s works: the remixes of “Love Profusion”and “American Life”.
“Love Profusion” becomes a soft-rock song with a little dose of electronic sound:it sounds like a song of the 90s Blondie;”American Life” is a hard-rock one and the rapped part has Nu-Metal elements.
Another important work is the remix of Depeche Mode’s “Nothing”:this song (included in their electro-pop album Music for the masses) originally slow and melodic, becomes a punk-rock song.
You must listen to Headcleanr’s music to understand his originality:nothing compares to his original style in remixing.
My Headcleanr’s Playlist:Remixes:American Life (Headcleanr Rock Mix);Love Profusion (Headcleanr Rock Mix) - Madonna;Nothing (Headcleanr Rock Mix) - Depeche Mode
Japanese surname and looking, absolutely eclectic, leader of Fort Minor and Linkin Park:the artist of the week is the Californian Mike Shinoda.
I would like to talk about Mike as himself;he discovers the world of music in 1988,singing as a rapper inspired by Antrax and Public Enemy mixing his income talent playing piano and guitar.
At the High School Mike founds with Brad Nelson (his mate in Linkin Park) and other friends (nowdays Hoobastank’s members)a band. After that,Mike studies graphics and design (he will design the artwork of the first Linkin Park’s album: “Styles of beyond”).Meanwhile,he “studies” also as DJ.
Since 2000,Mike gives himself just for Linkin Park:he’s absolutely their leader (he’s writer, composer, designer, arranger etc.).
In 2004 Mike stops his nu-metal experience (not forever) to begin a new hip-pop adventure with Fort Minor: in 2005 they publish “The rising tied”,which is full of collaborations:Lupe Fiasco,The Roots,John Legend and many others.Behind this project there is also Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z,or as the Beyoncè’s man.
In 2004,Mike Shinoda also re-edits Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the silence”:it sounds like a Linkin Park’s song…
At the moment,Mike is preparing the last Linkin Park’s album, which will be probably publish in 2007:his nu-metal fans can’t stand waiting.
It’s really hard to find,in our musical landscape,a so eclectic and complete artist as Mike Shinoda.
My Mike Shinoda’s Playlist:Linkin Park: Faint,Numb/Encore (vs Jay-Z); Fort Minor: Remember the name,Petrified Mike Shinoda:Enjoy the silence 04 - Depeche Mode
